Artists are being reminded that they still have time to enter a competition to have their work displayed at Sudbury’s new health centre.

The competition is open to both amateur and professional artists – and has a top prize of £5,000.

The winning entry will go on permanent display in the atrium of the Church Field Road centre when it opens in autumn next year.

Anne Nicholls, chairman of the Sudbury and Locality Implementation Group and a member of the art committee which will shortlist entries, said the piece would be given “major prominence”.

“We are excited to have received our first entries and are looking forward to receiving more,” she said.

The second-placed entry will receive £2,000 and the third £1,000. The deadline is December 20. Go to www.westsuffolkccg.nhs.uk.
