WARNINGS ... life is full of them but do we heed warnings, and take them seriously.
In February, the television showed a near-miss where someone was nearly hit by a train on a crossing, which was incredible to see as they escaped by a mere second. Then they showed another, where a lorry drove in front of a train and was hit ... and
a man was carried along by it just a short distance but had a miraculous escape.

The warnings were there, but people ignored them and took a chance. It all seems very sad that people don’t take such warnings seriously.

In March we went on holiday to Australia and on the way back we stopped in Singapore for two nights.

When coming into Singapore we had to fill out a landing card and at the bottom, in red letters, it said: “Warning. The penalty for drug smuggling is death.” We weren’t left in any doubt to what would happen if caught.

We have the greatest book of warning to warn us against the penalty of death. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3, v23)

Romans 6, v23 says: “For wages [penalty] of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Don’t ignore these warnings, because we can have eternal life by coming to Jesus, who is the only one that can take away our sin.
