Sudbury went into the game with a positive attitude and played the ball around with confidence from the off. A hard-working defence and athletic goalkeeping from Mackay dealt with any pressure.
They won several short corners with Colton driving down the right and going close with one when Spooner fired against the post. Cottrell put Sudbury ahead with a skillful flick over the keeper high into the net.

Sudbury started well again in the second half with great support from player-of-the-match Jones and good switching play which found Casey Humphries on a surging run, picking up a lovely cross-field pass from Sloane to smash the ball past the outstretched keeper to open her scoring for the first team.

Old Loughts converted a short corner after passing the ball around swiftly and Sudbury survived a period of intense pressure.

They put the game beyond the visitors when from a short corner, King fired the ball back into Colton who timed her deflection past the keeper.

The win secures second place in a hard-fought East Premier League.
