Hadleigh, mid-table in the Ridgeons Reserves North Division, scored after 15 minutes as Chris Sadler's pass sent Jon Davies clear to beat the advancing keeper for a well taken goal.
A free kick from James Beckett was headed inches wide by Mark Powling but play moved to the other end as Melford attacked strongly.

They equalised after 35 minutes as a right-wing corner was bundled over the line by Gareth Thomas.

Davies ended a dazzling run for Hadleigh by firing too high before a lob by Darrell Minns was blocked by keeper Thomas Edwards. Then a Sadler header was blocked on the line by a defender.

In the second half Hadleigh keeper Christopher Keeler saved from Cody Frazier before the big talking point after 65 minutes.

Jenkin looked offside as he gained possession but there was no flag and the number nine ran through to score.

Hadleigh won several more corners but could not find a way back.
