Sudbury Cricket Club moved 19 points clear at the top of Two Counties Championship Division One after beating title rivals Mildenhall by 104 runs.
After half centuries from Adam Mansfield (69) and Darren Batch (60) helped Sudbury finish on 242-5, Tom Huggins (3-20) and Ben Reece (3-30) both took three wickets to bowl Mildenhall all out for 138.
Elsewhere in Division One, Halstead’s three match winning run came to an end following a nine wicket defeat away at Coggeshall.
Ed Clark (33) was the highest scorer for Halstead as they finished all out for 127 runs, before the hosts reached the target on 132-1.
Hadleigh’s home clash with Worlington was abandoned, while in Division Two, Long Melford and Sudbury II’s scheduled meetings with Dunmow and Ipswich also fell foul of the weather.
