NO WAY THROUGH: Sudburys stout defence looks to keep Southwold at bay

UNDER-13s

Southwold 10 Sudbury 22

Sudbury continued their unbroken run of Essex league and Suffolk cup games, forcing a first defeat of the season on Southwold.

In bright sunshine and on a frosty pitch, tries came from Joel Rathbone, Patrick Irvine, Jay Waller, Ollie Boyle and one conversion from Ollie Jones.

Southwold, under pressure the whole match, managed a try in the corner near the end of the first half and a breakaway try from the back of the scrum by number eight near the end of the second half.

Player of the match went to Sam Delgaty who with the forwards held the game with decisive defensive and attacking work.
