Support our cycle marathon for Sir Bobby's charity

First of all, congratulations to Michael Simmons who won the signed '78 Cup Final DVD in the competition that we ran last month. Well done Michael, hope you enjoy watching the DVD.

Since our last column, Town have fared better in the League Cup than the Championship, but I fully expect our fortunes to change with the new additions of Campo and Vols.

They are both quality players with Premiership experience. It was good also to see both Garvan and Walters still at the club after the transfer window closed.

I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of ITISC to say bye and thank you to Alan Lee, who recently joined Crystal Palace. Alan wore the shirt of ITFC with hard work and total commitment and it will be interesting to see if Jon Stead is any better… Good Luck Alan!!

In February, I am cycling from Ipswich Town Football Ground to Preston North End Football Club in aid of the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation. We are presently setting up a website and details of this will appear on here as soon as it is up and running.

If you would like to donate now, please send a cheque made payable to the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation and send it to PO Box 150, Haverhill, Suffolk. CB9 7QB or donate on line at www.justgiving.com/SBRF.

This is going to be a hard event to achieve but if Sir Bobby can fight Cancer Five times without moaning, I can put up with pain for 5/6 days!

In April, Haverhill will see the legend Kevin Beattie attend the Rose Tavern PH in what is already being predicted to be a great night.

This is also in aid of the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation and the theme of the evening is the '78 Cup Final win over Arsenal.

We are having a 70's night and we hope to have more ex players attend along with the FA Cup trophy. We are in discussions with the FA about this.

Here's hoping September is more successful and if you would like to join our exciting club or receive more details about any of the events stated above, please contact me on info@itisc.org.uk.
