Schoolboys scramble to annual two-day meet

THE Wakes Colne motocross circuit at Little Loveney Hall reverberated to the sound of 120 schoolboy and adult riders thundering round for the East Anglian Schoolboy Scrambling Club two-day meeting.

There were two Halstead and District Motor Cycle Club riders in the race results of the AMX open adult class, with top six finishes overall for Brendon Mayers and Nathan Braithwaite. In the veteran class the evergreen Chris Keeble scored three wins from three races to take first overall.

The next motocross meeting at Wakes Colne will be over the first weekend of August. This will be a round of the Eastern Centre Solo MX Championships, replacing the meeting cancelled in April.
