Rwanda’s medal prospects dashed after fourth straight defeat

RWANDA’S men’s sitting volleyball team’s hopes of challenging for a medal were finally ended last night after a fourth consecutive comprehensive defeat in Pool B.

They slumped to a straight 3-0 defeat against Bosnia and Herzegovina, to round off their group games which all ended in the same fashion with other straight set defeats to Iran, Brazil and China.

They will now face a nine to 10 place classification play-off match on Friday (2pm) most likely against Morocco, who are due to play Russia in their final Pool A match today (2pm).
