London 2012: Victoria Pendleton to face rival in final

VICTORIA Pendleton will race old rival Anna Meares in the final race of her glittering career.

The Mildenhall Cycling Club gold member defeated Kristina Vogel 2-0 to move into the women’s sprint final at the Olympic Games.

Pendleton’s club, for whom she was a full member between 1989 and 2002, will be meeting to cheer her on in the showpiece against Meares from 5.26pm.
