FOUR Sudbury Storms’ elite swimmers, Laurence Chalk, Hannah McNaul, Mollie Milsom and Lana Mo, qualified for the British Gas ASA East Region BAGCAT Championships at UEA Norwich.

Mo and Milsom produced some great swims. Mo made the finals, finishing fourth in the 200m individual medley, seventh in the 100m freestyle and fourth in the 800m freestyle.

Milsom started with a strong first 50m and finished 40th in the 100m freestyle.

The girls’ 4x 100m medley relay team had a tough swim finishing 13th overall.

Laurence Chalk, swimming at his first regionals, made the final in the 100m freestyle and finished seventh.

The second weekend was exciting with Lana Mo finishing fourth in the 400m individual medley.

This was followed by the 200m breaststroke for both Mo and Hannah McNaul, with McNaul just missing out on the final, but with Mo securing a place in the final and a silver medal.

Sunday morning saw Laurence Chalk just missing out in the 100m final finishing in ninth place.

The afternoon saw Storms’ girls’ 4x 100m freestyle relay team finishing a creditable ninth position.

Hannah McNaul and Lana Mo both competed in the 100m breaststroke, and made the final, with McNaul finishing eighth and Mo second.
