Sam Suggate chalked up his first victory of the season in the Widdop Snooker League, but it was not enough for victory for Long Melford as they went down 4-2 at home to Sudbury B.
Martin Maxim got the first frame on the board for Sudbury with a win against Ross Suggate.
Sam Suggate recorded his maiden victory of the season with a black-ball win against Graham Cuthbert.
Sudbury captain Colin Cole restored the one-frame advantage by beating Andrew Saggon on the black.
Cuthbert stretched the lead by deafeating a below-par Ross Suggate.
But Melford responded to get the difference down to one again when Saggon beat Maxim.
This left Cole to wrap up the points.
Sible Hedingham visited Earls Colne and came away with a draw.
Luke Heard made it 1-0 to Colne with a win against George Williams, but Steve Gibbs levelled for Sible against Paul French.
James Monk beat Steve Kane and Heard got his second of the night against Gibbs to put Colne 3-1 up.
But with Sible wanting to keep their unbeaten record this season, captain Williams and Kane achieved this to end 3-3.
