Thirteen members of the Sudbury Joggers took on the challenge of the Tarpley 10 and 20-mile races on Sunday with some very strong performances.

Most either achieved personal best (pb) times or completed the distance for the first time.

Sharon White stood out in the 20-mile race, beating her previous best time by more than half an hour, finishing in two hours 44 minutes and 36 seconds.

In the 10-mile race, Lisa Dalton had another good run, crossing the line in 1.39.51, some 13 minutes quicker than her pb.

The other Joggers’ results were as follows: 20 mile: Thomas Challener 2.25.43, Jem Smith 2.27.38, Clive Davey 2.37.20 (his first 20 mile), Ben Cuthbert 2.41.42 (his first 20 mile), Dee St Ledger 2.45.18 (pb), Dean Breward 2.46.29 (first 20 mile), Jim Comber 2.50.39 (first 20 mile), Ian St Ledger 3.00.58, Sarah Pennock 3.32.15 (first 20 mile), Kat Ross 4.08.38 (first 20 mile); 10 mile: Gin Craig 1.28.24.
