A last-game win by Geoff Walton gave Friday Charity Darts League leaders, King’s Head A, a 6-5 victory against LMWMC B while Institute B stay second after winning 10-1 at the Brook.

Only another last-game win by Tibby Maxim saw the Snooker Club snatch a 6-5 win at the Black Lion while Lyn Sheridan played well for Acton Crown as they won 7-4 at Institute A.

King’s Head B won 8-3 away at the Northcroft while there was a good 10-1 victory for the Brewery Tap at LMWMC A.

The Cricket Clubs’ good run continued with a 7-4 victory against Brook B.

n A league meeting will be held on Sunday, April 3, at the Brewery Tap, start 11am. All teams should attend. Any new teams wishing to join the league should telephone the secretary on 01787 312904.

n Andrew Gilding suffered a disappointing first round exit in the PDC German Darts Masters in Munich at the weekend.

The second event on the Professional Darts Corporation’s European Tour this season saw Gilding, along with 47 other players, compete at the Dolce Hotel’s Ballhausforum for the £25,000 top prize.

Goldfinger’s bid for a first title in the PDC was ended in the last 48 on Saturday afternoon, as the Walsham-le-Willows Sports Club thrower averaged just 79.92 in a 6-1 defeat to James Richardson.

Suffolk thrower Peter Wright let a 4-2 lead slip to lose 6-4 to Michael van Gerwen in the final.
