TEAMS from three primary schools battled it out at the Year 4 High 5 netball tournament at Great Cornard Upper School, with Pot Kiln I coming out on top.
Twice postponed because of bad weather, the round robin competition was played amid strong winds and heavy showers.
Six teams, from Boxford, Pot Kiln and Wells Hall primary schools took part, featuring a total of 48 players aged eight and nine years old.
The High 5 format of netball is designed to introduce under-11s to the sport and sees players rotating positions throughout the matches.
Although it was the first time many had played this way, with the guidance of their managers, the teams very quickly got into their stride and organisers said some excellent netball was played throughout the afternoon.
Tournament winners Pot Kiln I won all five of their matches, while runners-up Wells Hall II suffered only one defeat.
