Sudbury and District Snooker League has reached the halfway point, with Earls Colne B and Lavenham Legion B tied on 35 points.

Colne B had a convincing 5-0 win over lowly Sible Hedingham while Lavenham Legion B had a hard-fought 3-2 win over their A side.

Melford Working Men’s C made it five wins from their last seven matches as they overcame in-form Sudbury SC A by the odd frame, with Tony Simpson winning the match decider.

There was a close fought match between The Hedingham and Earls Colne A.

Finally, Sudbury Social Club B gained a good 4-1 win at the league’s basement team, S Club 47.
