SUDBURY Storms have been competing in the 2012 British Gas Suffolk County Championships at Newmarket to swim in the short course event of the championships.

Sudbury took a strong squad of 22 swimmers who had achieved the county qualifying times.

The club chalked up 128 swims, 85 personal bests, nine regional qualifying times and one national time. Thirteen regional times were missed by less than one second.

The top swimmers in the medals table were again Lana Mo with eight golds, two silvers and one bronze, Ella Rides with one gold and three bronze, Hannah Mcnaul with three silvers and two bronze, Alicia Demetriades with two silver and Laurence Chalk with one silver.

The club also achieved a good haul of Bagcat trophies with Charlie Harman, Harry Milsom, Laurence Chalk, Lana Mo, Hannah McNaul and Alicia Demetriades all getting awards. All of these swimmers were ranked in the top 12 of the county in their age groups.
