Two Sudbury Storms swimmers broke club records at the county championships in Ipswich.
Chris Greenhalgh came sixth in the 400m freestyle for 17-plus years with a time of four minutes 20.15 seconds, a new club record as well as a personal best (PB).
Lana Mo finished third in the 400m freestyle (4mins 51.10secs) for the 13 years age group, also setting a club record.
The Storms showed the depth of their talent in this event with Alicia Demetriades placing eighth in the 400m freestyle while Olivia Sherred came ninth (5mins 9.09secs) with a new PB.
Laurence Chalk demonstrated his form, finishing second in the 50m butterfly for 14-years in 29.11secs, fourth in the 50m freestyle (26.77secs), fifth in the 100m individual medley (1min 09.19secs) as well as recording two further PBs in the 50m backstroke (32.17secs) and 100m butterfly (1min 05.37secs), all in the 14 years age group.
In her first ever county final, Sophie Murray sliced 10 seconds of her PB to place sixth in 3mins 25.09secs.
Highlights from the relays include the open girls team of Kelly Murray, Fran King, Ella Rides and Redgi Keeble-Bradford, who came fifth in both the freestyle and medley relays.
The strength and depth of the freestyle 14 years team of Olivia Sherred, Lana Mo, Alicia Demetriades and Gemma Ride ensured the Storms finished the freestyle relay in fourth position and placing fifth in the medley relays.
Storms will be training over the Easter holidays preparing for their own spring gala which is to be hosted at Kingfisher Leisure Centre, Sudbury over the weekend of April 6/7.
