Sudbury Town defeated second-placed Clapgate Lane Magpies in the Suffolk Super League to complete a league double over their local rivals this season.

Captain Jason Stalker (23.14 one-dart average) put the hosts ahead with a 3-1 win over Kevin Harris before Dan Tatum (26.84) doubled that lead with a 3-0 success against Phil Westwood.

Ian Randles (20.40) continued the rout with a 3-1 victory over Paul Williams, shortly before Brett Claydon (27.33) produced a man-of-the-match performance to defeat Ian Last 3-0.

Sudbury secured the points after Steve Balls (21.02) came from 2-0 down to defeat Steffen Morling 3-2, with Curtis Hammond pulling one back for Clapgate with a 3-1 win over John Attwater (22.96).

The hosts went 6-1 up when Martin Totman (25.05) overcame Lee Johnson 3-0, before Robbie Morling grabbed Magpies’ second win of the night with a 3-0 win against Ross Theobald (18.84).
