Sudbury Rugby travel to high-flyers Norwich on Saturday (2.30pm), believing they are in with a chance of pulling off a victory in London Three North East.
Coach Graham Richards was pleased with his side’s 45-15 home win over Wisbech at the weekend and hopes to have a largely unchanged squad for the trip to their third-placed opponents.
However, he will have to make due without the services of flanker Ben Savoury who is working, but Chris Whybrow could be back in contention having only seen limited action so far this season.
Richards will also be able to call upon two players returning from university, but stressed that he is anxious not to disrupt his winning side.
He was disappointed that some of the other results near the bottom of the league went against his side with Harlow beating East London.
This season has seen results varying from week to week, with little pattern.
“Any team can beat any team in this league,” said Richards.
Sudbury will be cheered by travelling supporters as the club has arranged a coach to take fans to Norwich.
Norwich lost 20-5 at Canvey Island on Saturday, but still sit in third with 25 points, behind leaders Beccles, 27 points, and Wanstead, 26.
