Preparations are in hand for the fourth great Dave Roper Memorial Moto Cross being held on Sunday, April 14, at the historic course of Tye Farm, Great Cornard, near Sudbury.
Organised by Sudbury Motor Cycle Club, there will be the usual six races for the Experts and Juniors, as well as three races for pre-1989 machines consisting of Evo, Twinshock and pre-65classes, which will race together.
Another first for the Tye Farm track is the use of the Eastern Centre Electronic Timing System to record the laps and times of all the races, while there will also be the usual cake stall. Admission is £5 and programmes £2.
Proceeds will go to the Dave Roper Memorial Fund, which has been put to good use over the last four years with three members of the 2013 Team Dave Roper taking part in a two-day Dr Shox Boot Camp ran by Chris Hockey.
The weekend consisted of fitness, enduro and motocross training and took place in snow and sub-zero temperatures.
Although exhausted at the end, they enjoyed themselves.
