Sudbury Jogger Jem Smith overcame a gruelling 100km challenge on Saturday to conquer the inaugural SVP 100.

The run follows the Stour Valley Path from Newmarket to Manningtree passing through some beautiful countryside and past some well-known landmarks such as Devil’s Dyke, Kentwell Hall and Flatford Mill.

Smith finished the undulating and muddy course in 14 hours and 20 minutes.

Great North Run veteran, Lyndon Collier completed the half-marathon race held in Newcastle on Sunday in 2.11.47.
