Sible Hedingham have stamped their authority on Division Two of the Braintree Table Tennis League after a resounding win against former leaders Black Notley B.

Roy Hooper, Richard Jennings and Mark Brown were in full conquering mode and took nine of the 10 sets.

Victor Chan’s win over Brown was Notley’s only consolation, although they came close on a couple of times.

Chan held a 2-1 lead in games against Hooper and Gordon Fairchild, going down only at 11-9 in the fifth game against Brown.

Otherwise it was Hedingham all the way and they consolidated their position with a 10-0 win over bottom club Hedingham Lions.

Earlier, Hedingham had caught up on their match in hand when they beat Notley’s C team 7-3.

All three players this time won two each – Hooper and Jennings losing to Matt Wallace and Brown to Warren Baines.
