Halstead and District Motorcycle Club motocross riders continue to get good results at EASSC meetings.

At round two of the Pro Green Series, held in Mepal, Jason Morland took second overall in the Open class. Three consistent third places took him to second in the points table.

Glen Bixby had a good set of results in the Open class, putting him seventh in the series points table. Bixby had three wins in the Vets’ class to put him top.

In the AMX class, an out-of-sorts Brendon Mayers finished only two of his three races, taking him to 13th in the standings.

After a superb 2014 trials season, Halstead man Matthew Skeet started 2015 with a win at the annual Talmag Trophy Trial, held at Hungry Hill near Aldershot.

Riding his Ariel HT5, Skeet grabbed the honours from a gaggle of riders, all completing the two laps of the 15 sections, without losing any marks.

With plenty more trials meetings this season, Skeet is capable of gaining further top results.
