STOKE-by-Nayland’s Jamie Moul’s frustrating season continued on Saturday after failing to impress in the Sicilian Open at the Verdura Resort in Italy.
In the latest round of the European Tour, the 27-year-old failed to make cut, finishing in joint 85th place on one under par, 14 shots behind eventual winner Olsen Thorjorn of Denmark.
Moul will be hoping for a better outcome when he travels to Kuala Lumpur next week to compete in the Maybank Malaysian Open.
A strong placing there would reignite his hopes of qualifying for a place at the BMW PGA Championship at the prestigious Wentworth Club in Surrey in May.
* Meanwhile, the winners of the Ladies American Greensomes played at Stoke-by-Nayland Golf Club were Roz Clements and Gwen Broadhead with 39 points.
Second were Gill Potter and Mal Went, with Jude Hanner and Irene Fielding coming third.
The Ladies Weekend Stableford was won by Mandy Byham and second was Tracey Dickens.
