Lavenham Legion B are the new leaders of the Sudbury and District League after a 5-0 win over Sudbury Snooker Club A.
The match was a lot closer than the scoreline suggests, with four of the five frames being decided on the colours.
Previous leaders Earls Colne A have slipped to second, one point behind the legion, after labouring to a narrow 3-2 win at the league’s basement club Long Melford Working Mens C.
Meanwhile, after losing their first two matches of the season, Earls Colne B have now made it five wins in a row with a 5-0 rout of defending champions Lavenham Legion A, whose chances of retaining their title appear to have all but gone after now picking up just one frame from their last 15 played.
There was also a 5-0 win for the ever-improving S Club 47 over Sible Hedingham.
