At the GH Motor Cycle GB Finch midweek championships, staged by Woodbridge, Diss and Halstead Clubs, just 19 points separated the top four riders, all Halstead club riders.

Chris Bastick took the championship, and runner-up was Brad Tomlin, who was just two points clear of Lewis Tombs, with Jason Morland fourth.

Making the top 12 was Glen Bixby, with 18th place going to Phil Burton.

Mark Sharman was 26th and Harry Mills 31st.

In the six-round 2013 Bickers Lifting Eastern Centre Championships, 10 Halstead riders were in the final standings in the Expert class.

Taking third place was Brad Tomlin, fourth Jason Morland, with former champion Chris Bastick eighth.

The next club rider, in 16th, was Glen Bixby. Outside the top 20 was Phil Burton, with Junior Thomas scoring points in two rounds.

Taking points in one round were Adam Mayo, Brendon Mayers, Bradley Howlett and Rob Nicholl.

In the Junior class, 10 club riders scored points, the best set by far coming from Mark Sharman, who finished fifth in the series standings.

Ninth place went to Harry Mills, with Jordan Cutting, Carl Parker, Cameron Harris, John Hinz, Steve Cadd and Tom Crees all scoring points.

Steve Livermore and Ollie Raymond scored a point each.
