Several Sudbury Joggers posted personal best (pb) times at the Ipswich Jaffa Running Club-hosted Ekiden marathon relay on Sunday.
An Ekiden event is a relay run over the marathon distance by six team members, the first leg is 7.2km followed by 5km, 10km, 5km, 10km, and 5km.
Sudbury Joggers entered three teams, two in the men’s open category and one in the mixed open category with 122 teams competing in total.
All the Joggers had good runs with several posting pb times.
Sudbury Joggers A team finished 12th out of the 34 teams in the men’s open, with Sudbury Joggers B finishing in 22nd position.
In the mixed category, Sudbury Joggers C finished in 28th place out of the 36 teams entered.
The event was excellently organised and marshalled with the warm conditions only adding to the challenge.

C team: Andy Buck 7.2k 29.48, Sarah Pennock 5k 26.22(pb), Dee St Ledger 10k 49.53(pb), Kat Ross 5k 30.53(pb), Sharon White 10k 50.29, Lisa Dalton 5k 30.23(pb).
