Joggers enjoy an action-packed weekend

Sudbury Joggers were out in force last weekend, with many taking part in various 
events.

Friday night saw 18 Joggers compete in the fourth Friday 5 Series of races, this time at Haughley Park, Stowmarket.

First home was Thomas Challener in 30.52, followed by Ben Cuthbert (32.19); Andy Buck (32.35); Malcolm Penn (33.12); Charles Hann (34.40); Clive Davey (35.50); Dominic Turner (39.42); Dave Chapman (41.18); Jonathon Price (41.51) and Ady Frost (58.27).

First home for the ladies was Sandy Thorogood in 37.13, followed by Jackie Hann (40.20); De St Ledger (42.00); Gin Craig (45.16); Sarah Pennock (46.56); Lindsay Hobden (46.56); Sharon Breward (56.53) and Melonie Evans (58.27).

On Sunday, two Joggers went to compete in the Around the Island race held at Mersea.

First home was Ady Frost in 1:44.52 followed by Jonathon Price in 1:44.52.

Heading out of the county to East Sussex, Kev Stagg took part in the 24-hour Eliminator Endurance Race staged at Pippingfrod Park.

With a team-mate, they managed 85.5 miles in the 24 hours.
