Ian Gardner raced to the top of the Sudbury Angling Club points table after an impressive display at Rayne Lodge.

Out of the 19 competitors taking part, Gardner proved the man to beat, netting a total haul of 90lb ahead of Kevin Foster (82lb), Ash Smith (70lb) and Andy Mc (55lb).

The result leaves Gardner top of the standings on 13 points, closely followed by Rod Adams on 14 points and Ken Noble on 23 points.

The next match will be at Creeting top lake on Sunday, May 18.
