Halstead and District Motorcycle Club motocross riders were well represented in the final championship positions in the 2013 NGR Series.
In the over-30s class, John Heinz finished in eighth place, with Lee White 11th.
In the over-40s, Mick Cadd took ninth place, Vince Pryke 10th, Jon Russell 16th, Scott Robinson 17th, Paul Leakey 19th and Dan Holland 20th.
In the overall positions, all were in the top 36.
The NGR Championships were launched in 1988 by the late Nigel Reed, who wanted races for those who did not want to race against a better class of riders.
Nigel himself rode in the championships before his death in 1997.
The Eastern Centre Trials Championship (Royal Enfield Cup) Class A round seven, was held at Alphamstone Castle, organised by Colchester MCC.
Former Eastern Centre Expert MX Champion Matthew Skeet took second place in the intermediate class. New Halstead rider Sam Peck was in the results in the novice class.
At the Sudbury MCC finale, the Bowers Two Man Enduro Championships, Expert rider Bradley Howlett and Kelvin Vant took third place in the championship class.
In the clubmans class, expert riders Brendon Mayers and Mark Fenwick claimed first place.
One of the club’s top junior riders, Mark Sharman, rode in the challenging conditions at Tye Farm, Great Cornard.
