Halstead and District Motorcycle Club riders enjoyed success at round three of the Eastern Centre Solo Motocross Championships, held at Cadders Hill, promoted by Norwich Viking MCC.

In the Expert Championship, Brad Tomlin and Jason Morland landed top places overall on the day, Tomlin fourth place andMorland sixth.

Tilbury-based John Hinz took fourth overall and kept his top three in the standings in the Junior Championship.

Just seven points adrift of Hinz was Jordan Cutting, who took fourth place.

Riders not qualifying for the championship races went into non-qualifying groups. In Group B, Scott Aspinall finished sixth place overall, while in Group C Patrick Hylton also took sixth overall.

Round four will be held in mid-June at Littleport (Mildenhall).

In round four of the EASSC Summer Championships, held at Chippenham, there was a hat-trick of wins for Glen Bixby, to give him the overall win in the Vets Class. In the Open Class, Bixby took fifth overall from his three races.
