A warm sunny Thursday evening found 25 Cycle Club Sudbury riders keen to make the most of the conditions on the Brent Eleigh time trial circuit.
The circuit runs from the Cock pub in Lavenham down towards Sudbury turning to Little Waldingfield and then again to Brent Eleigh past the other Cock pub and on to the finish back in Lavenham.
Riders have to be careful not to over do it at the start up the hill from Lavenham and be prepared to press on down hill to achieve a competitive time.
First home on this occasion was Rob Davies in 18 minutes 56 seconds, average speed 26mph, from James Rush 19.06 and third Dave Crisp 19.22.
Dave Fenn improved by over a minute on last year’s target time and Doz Bree managed an excellent 20.33 after cycling over from Ipswich to race.
Matt Traynor and Ian Millard competed in the VTTA 10 at Rougham in terrible conditions, achieving 27.25 and 25.12 respectively.
