Entries open next week for this year’s Sudbury Fun Run and Sponsored Walk on Good Friday, April 18.

The event takes in a five-mile route around Sudbury and Great Cornard, with entries opening on Thursday, January 12.

Run entries (£11 for affiliated runners, £14 unaffiliated) can be made via www.runbritain.com and walk entries (£6) via www.
runnersworld.co.uk.

Beneficiaries of this year’s fundraising will be the East Anglian Air Ambulance, The Bridge Project and The Marion Blower Appeal, with funds split equally between the three groups.

Run entries — which close on Friday, April 11 — are limited to 500 places, but there is no limit to the number of walkers.

Entry for walkers can be accepted on the day.

The race starts at 9.15am at the entrance to The Kingfisher Leisure Centre and Waitrose supermarket.

Great Eastern Road and Station Road will be closed to vehicles from 9am so entrants should arrive early to access the car park or use one of the town’s other facilities.Run packs with numbers and chips will be available for collection at Easterns Station Lounge, on the corner of Station Road from 8am on the day.

This year’s sponsors include, LAC Cleaning Contractors, Tesco, Patrick Lowman PR, DaRo Group Limited, Morgan Training Solutions Ltd and Simply Group.
