Cycle Club Sudbury had several riders competing in an open 10-mile TT near Bungay.

The experienced pair of Jody Downs 21-45 and Damon Day 22-35 set fast times on this relatively slow track with the former coming sixth, 12 seconds off second place.

James Rush took part in a 25-mile TT in the same area the following day, achieving a creditable 57-41.

Rob Davies put his time trialling form to good use taking part, with 200 other competitors, in West Suffolk Wheelers’ sprint triathlon at Stowmarket.

Fine weather saw Davies home in 1-02-43, second in his age group and 22nd overall.
