Sudbury darts players helped Suffolk to a fine weekend win as they continue their push for promotion in the British Inter Counties Championship Division Two.

Ian Randles clocked an average of 22.84 in a 3-1 win for the Men’s B side at Wiltshire.

John Attwater (23.18ave) increased the lead with a 3-1 win himself, with Martin Totman (23.18ave) also notching up a victory in a 7-5 win.

On Sunday, Dan Tatum (23.97ave) won 4-1 to leave just one more win for Suffolk to claim the overall match.

When Duane Nessling (Woodbridge — 20.68 ave) lost 4-1, the Suffolk nerves were jangling while awaiting that all important 19th point.

But the ever reliable Dave Ballard-Flatt (Saxmundham — 26.91 ave) won 4-1 to clinch the overall win 19-17.

Next up for Suffolk are West Midlands at Kesgrave on March 1/2.
