Sudbury Town ace Brett Claydon will have dreams of making it through two matches in ‘the FA Cup of darts’ to get a shot at toppling a star name when he steps up to the oche tomorrow afternoon.

He gets his Coral UK Open campaign, with the £300,000 tournament being screened live on ITV4, under way at the Butlins Minehead Resort with a first round match on stage four against Dutchman Joe Ten Berge.

n League leaders Institute B went down 6-5 away at the Five Bells in the Sudbury Friday Darts League, while Clare Club beat the Brook 10-1.

LMWMC B just edged out the Black Lion, 605, while Northcroft A got an 8-3 victory away to Snooker Club A.

Elswhere, The Cricket Club won 8-3 at Northcroft B, Acton Crown beat LMWMC A 7-4, Snooker B won 7-4 at King’s Head and King’s Head A won 6-5 at Institute A.
