A RIDING stables near Hadleigh has benefited to the tune of £1,400 thanks to a charity clay shoot.
The shoot at Coggeshall Gun Club was held in aid of the Shelley Centre Therapeutic Riding Group, which caters for disabled riders.
The overall winner and high gun was Scott Greenfield with 47 out of 50 with father-and-son team Jason and Paul Fulcher taking first and second in the cash class.
Cartridge class, which was sponsored by Graham Boyce of Causeway Shooting Supplies in Halstead, was won by local lad Kerry Summers from Pebmarsh with Adrian Last, shooting from a wheelchair, taking a close second.
Raquel Van Root, from the Shelly Centre, won the junior class at her very first attempt of shooting.
