THE third race of the Friday five-mile series was run at Haughley Park, Stowmarket in very different conditions from the previous week.

In the muddy, slippery and windy weather Andy Buck was again the first Sudbury Jogger home in 32 minutes 44 seconds for 20th place.

Louise Hampshire had another strong run to finish as third lady in a time of 33:59. Rob Harrow was next Sudbury Jogger in 48th position in 35:08, closely followed by Michael Murray in 57th place, in a time of 35:45.

Jim Comber battled the elements well to finish 83rd in 37:03.

Finishing second in his age group, Jonathan Price came in at 38:34.

Conditions were completely the opposite for Barry Curtis who ran the Southend Half-Marathon on Sunday. The weather was nice for being on the seafront, but a little warm for running. Curtis was pleased to stop the clock at one hour 48 minutes.
