Old Joe’s Golf Club’s head professional Barrie Trainor failed to make the weekend cut at the BMW PGA Open in Surrey after a disastrous second round of 10-over-par 82 left him 13 over par.

Trainor, who topped the Irish Order of Merit in 2011, had been within two shots of the projected cut after Thursday’s opening round
after carding a two-over-par 75.

Trainor, who also teaches at Thetford Golf Club, is due to play the €2,000,000 Irish Open, in Maynooth, County Kildare, on June 27.
