Sudbury Cricket Club’s juniors have been busy training for the upcoming season at indoor nets under the guidance of club coach Phil Halliday and his assistants.

There has been an emphasis on fitness as well as working on individual performance technique during the 10 weeks with all players seeing an improvement and eagerly waiting to put it all into practice in games

They will be joined by South African club professional Jandre Coetzee for outdoor nets, which start on Monday, April 15, at the club’s ground off Friars Street and Quay Lane.

Players in age groups 12-and-under run from 5pm until 6.15pm and 13-and-over start at 6.30pm till 8pm.

There is still room for players in the 12-15 age groups to register, but the 11-and-under group is now full.

Anyone with a child wishing to become a member is welcome on a Monday evening to discuss with club officials any queries about joining and to see a session in progress.
