Steve Fallon and David Batch spoke to Deputy Sports Editor Russell Claydon following an entertaining 2-2 draw at a blustery Julius Martin Lane on Saturday.
All four goals came in a breathless first half as Luke Stanley’s 19th-minute opener was soon cancelled out by Steve Spriggs before AFC’s lead, courtesy of Ollie Hughes, lasted less than 60 seconds before Jack Cawley turned into his own net.
Soham boss Fallon was ‘disappointed not to win the game’ but thought ‘overall a draw was a fair result’.
AFC manager Batch, meanwhile, was pleased with the resilience shown by his side in the second half, after losing Ross Watson to two yellow cards in the 64th minute.
But he admitted to not being too pleased with their overall performance, believing they should have been ahead at the interval.
