AFC Sudbury manager David Batch has revealed Jamie Forshaw can return to the side on Tuesday to stop them suffering from profligate finishing which again cost them points on Saturday.

The former King’s Lynn frontman has been out on loan at Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division side Norwich United as he recovered match fitness from a long-term injury.

Batch reflected on Saturday’s 3-1 home defeat to Romford saying his side should never have been 2-0 down at the great and gave themselves ‘a mountain to climb’ with their wayward finishing.

AFC Sudbury are now nine points off the play-offs in Ryman League Division One North with nine games to play, travelling to fifth-placed Heybridge Swifts, who they hold a game in hand over, on Tuesday (7.45pm).
