VIDEO: AFC Sudbury boss hoping early return pays dividends

With AFC Sudbury having already been back at work on the training pitch for three weeks, deputy sports editor Russell Claydon went down to the club to watch a session.

Manager David Batch explained how their early return has allowed him to slowly build things up and allow him time to work on different set-ups ahead of the new Ryman League season kicking off on August 9.

On a sun-kissed hot evening, new player-coach Ryan Maxwell got the players working hard with fitness drills before some ball work was followed by a practice match.
