AFC Sudbury’s trip to Witham Town on Tuesday has fell victim to a waterlogged pitch, while defender Ross Watson and winger Michael Brothers have both left the Yellows.

Former King’s Lynn Town double-promotion winner Watson has dropped down another league to play for Spalding United in the United Counties Premier Division.

The 25-year-old joined AFC in mid-September, after captaining the Linnets to the Evo-Stik Northern Premier First Division South title last season.

He made 14 appearances for the Yellows and also joins Michael Brothers, David Batch’s first signing in June, in leaving.

The former Leiston player, in his second spell at AFC, had been on a three-month loan at Thurlow Nunn Premier Division side Stanway Rovers since October, which has now been made permanent.

He made seven appearances in his second spell, scoring once.
