Suffolk Premier Cup Quarter Final: Hadleigh United 1 Lowestoft Town 3

Hadleigh United were knocked out of the John Banks Suffolk Premier Cup by higher-league opponents Lowestoft Town on Wednesday night.

Stuart Crawford’s side, who will play in the FA Vase fourth round (last 32) at AFC Emley on Janauary 19, had gone into the break at the Millfield level after Scott Chaplin equalised Danny Cunnigham’s early free-kick.

But the Ryman Premier Trawlerboys, who play two leagues higher than Hadleigh, had too much for the Thurlow Nunn Premier Division side over the 90 minutes, with substitute Chris Henderson scoring a brace to send them through to the semi-final.

Hadleigh return to league action on Saturday when they host Wivenhoe Town (3pm).
