ANGLIAN COMBINATION

DIVISION TWO

East Harling 0

Scole United 4

Scole United ended their stuttering form with a 4-0 victory at East Harling.

The visitors looked by far the more dangerous of the two teams, thanks to the
workrate of Tom Bell and the power of James Edwards up front.

Scole took the lead from a set piece and, after some good work from Edwards, Sonny Sloggett tucked away a lovely finish from eight yards.

The rest of the half saw Harling try and push on, but the back four of Chris Watling, Sloggett, Adam Solley and Callum Ellis were superb and with Nathan Ireland and a swashbuckling Ben Cussons just in front of them, Harling could not muster a single shot at goal.

After the break, Luke Ashford went on a run and, after his shot was blocked, Bell was taken out for a penalty, which Sloggett tucked in.

Nathan Ireland tucked away a lovely finish to make it 3-0 before Ed Hipperson completed the scoring with a fine volley, although a brilliant dummy from Will Goulding wrong-footed the keeper.

Man of the match: Ben Cussons.
