In our match of the week, Earls Colne under-16s fought back from a 2-0 half-time deficit against visitors Alresford Colne Rangers Reds.

Colne dominated territorially throughout, and their pressure paid off when man of the match Tom Baslington finished well early in the second half.

Marly Carne grabbed the equaliser two minutes from time.

Long Melford Colts under-14s were beaten 2-1 by Bury Town Youth Saints in the quarter-final of the Ipswich & Suffolk Youth League Vase. Melford scored five minutes before the interval when Zinzan Forster was put through.

Melford started the second half brightly, but defensive errors contributed to Bury’s two goals.

Despite enjoying the majority of possession, Cornard Dynamos under-11 Reds found themselves a goal down early in the second half at Rowhedge Reds.

Lewi Davis and Callum Scott were always a threat. Leon Warner set up Jack Ingram for the equaliser.
