Watch the goals back as hosts Soham Town Rangers shared an entertaining 2-2 draw with Suffolk rivals AFC Sudbury as both sides look to mount a push for the play-offs in Ryman League Division One North (highlights courtesy of @nonleagueFCTV).
The division’s top scorer, Luke Stanley, headed Soham into a 19th minute lead against the run of play with his 18th goal of the campaign.
But Steve Spriggs equalised for AFC Sudbury just two minutes later from a Jack Cawley long throw.
Controversy then followed when Alex Archer was given the benefit of the doubt with a free-kick after dropping the ball under pressure from Buster Harradine’s challenge, with the ball having then been turned into the net.
AFC when straight up the other end and took the lead through Ollie Hughes’ third goal in as many games, but within 60 seconds Cawley put through his own net.
Soham came out on top in the second half and AFC’s task was made more difficult when Ross Watson picked up two yellow cards within a seven-minute spell, yet the Suffolk side still had chances to win the game and came out with a valuable point after Archer saved from Stanley late on.
