Hadleigh United - Boss applauds young players

HADLEIGH United manager Stuart Crawford praised the efforts of the club’s younger players after Hadleigh finished mid-table in the Ridgeons League Premier Division.

Crawford, speaking at the senior presentation evening, explained that at one stage of the campaign he had 13 senior players on the treatment table and for most matches it was necessary to give young players a run-out in the first team as injuries took their toll.

The manager felt that, given a cleaner bill of health, next season should see Hadleigh in a challenging position near the top of the table.

Most players had signed contracts for next season, he added.
